MMSD is sending the letter below to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources regarding sewer overflows that took place starting on 3/14/2019.
As of midnight 3/18/19, the District has captured and cleaned 98.25% of all the wastewater and stormwater that's entered the regional sewer system in 2019.
MMSD's six year spending forecast calls for investing $1.4 billion on regional water reclamation facilities and sewers to reduce the risk of sewer overflows and basement backups.
