MMSD & BEIJING SIGN SISTER UTILITY AGREEMENT

On December 7, 2017, representatives from the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District and the Beijing Water Authority signed documents establishing a Sister Utilities Agreement at a ceremony in Milwaukee at the Global Water Center. The agreement calls for both utilities to support the exchange of ideas and best management practices related to public health, water resource and environmental protection, and economic development. Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, and representatives of The Water Council attended the ceremony.
