(Milwaukee, WI) - Liquid nicotine? Rechargeable batteries in vape pens? They’re hazardous wastes that need proper disposal, and a garbage can is NOT the answer. Drop off vape equipment and much more at a Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) Home HazMat Collection.
Get rid of nasty household chemicals properly at a FREE one-day collection at Augustine Prep (formerly Cardinal Stritch) (6801 N Yates Rd, Fox Point, WI 53217) on May 4th from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, helping keep chemicals out of our water and the environment.
It’s FREE to visit MMSD Home Hazmat collections, where you can get rid of old gas, paint, compact fluorescent light bulbs, motor oil, rechargeable batteries, and much more. View the complete list of items you can and cannot drop off.
You don't even have to get out of your car! Just remember to bring your ID. The MMSD Home Hazmat collection drop-off is only open to Milwaukee County residents. Sorry, businesses are not allowed.
For a List of Items Accepted
If you can't make it to this one-day event, three drive-through Home HazMat collection sites are open all year for Milwaukee County residents. For location hours, and a list of things you can and cannot bring.
Receive Water Drop Alert text messages when heavy rain threatens the area. When a Water Drop Alert has been issued, a reminder is sent to use less water.
What do you do when an alert is issued?
Any items flushed other than toilet paper can create costly clogs in your home pipes, our community sewer pipes, and our water reclamation facilities. Learn what items you should not flush down your toilet.
Get FREE water by the barrel from your roof and use it when it’s dry outside to use in your landscape. Rain barrels help keep excess water out of the sewer system and help reduce water pollution.
