This event acts on the recommendations outlined in the Equitable Water Future Roadmap, deepening our commitment to equity within Milwaukee as it furthers our engagement with the work of the Milwaukee Water Equity Taskforce. As the Equitable Water Future Roadmap states, though Milwaukee positions itself as a water-centric city, its water workforce does not reflect its population’s diversity. Building a more equitable water workforce requires understanding and addressing the barriers to entry, particularly for people in historically underserved communities.
